March 29, 1948
 “Battle of Wall Street,” police charge members of the United Financial Employees’ Union, striking against the New York Stock Exchange and New York Curb Exchange (now known as the American Stock Exchange). Forty-three workers are arrested in what was to be the first and only strike in the history of either exchange.  ~Labor Tribune

May 24, 2016  | JOBS | America is literally falling apart. In Flint, children were poisoned by the lead contamination of the water. In Washington, the subway system is plagued by fires and delays. Arlington Memorial Bridge – which connects the North to the South, the Capitol to Arlington National Cemetery – may have to be closed soon.
